Paul Borgese
December 9th, 2008Paul Borgese currently manages the Emerging Markets Group of The Associated Press Digital Division, which includes online video, social networks, digital signage, interactive TV, Spanish-language, Web 2.0, and online advertising initiatives. He has worked in and lectured on online marketing and e-commerce operations for more than 11 years.
Paul serves as an advisor to EyeCatcher Interactive a digital strategy and marketing firm that offers a wide array of online solutions, including: Web design and development; SEM/SEO; monetization solutions; media buying and planning; Web 2.0 functionality; online community-building; viral marketing; and video production and platforms - as well as sales/marketing training.
Paul also is an international speaker and author of two business books, M&A From Planning to Integration (McGraw-Hill, New York, 2002; Beijing 2006), which has been featured on CNN, CNBC and other global business programs; and FEAR Selling: How To Sell More and Sell Faster By Tapping Into Your Prospects’ Deep-Seated Emotional Needs (Full Court Press, 2005). He currently is working on his next book, Serialpreneurship: The Secrets of Repeatable Business Success.
Paul has worked on marketing and business development initiatives with a wide range of organizations, including: the Federal Reserve System, J.P. Morgan Chase, Microsoft, Merrill Lynch, McKinsey & Company, IBM, The Wall Street Journal Online, the Paris Chamber of Commerce, Kanoodle, and MIVA (these last two online marketing companies are competitors of Google).
Paul teaches marketing and international business at New York University, Pace University, and Baruch College, City University of New York.
Paul has five degrees, including: an MBA in marketing and finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business; a Master’s in Literature from Trinity College, Cambridge University where the British government awarded him the Marshall Scholarship; a Master’s in Public Administration at The Fels Center of Government, University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Fels Scholar; a BA in English from Penn; and a BS in finance from The Wharton School of Business. While living in Europe, Paul was awarded a Cambridge Scholarship to study Spanish language and culture at the University of Salamanca, one of the oldest universities in the world.
